To call Dan McGuinness a singer is an understatement. Dan's voice harkens a listener's memory back to a time when Blue Eyed Soul ruled the radio. Full and powerful, Dan's voice can go from edgy and rough to soft and delicate in an instant. His incredible range and perfect pitch are complimented by his expert technique and his soft touch. In constant demand not only as a singer but as a voice over specialist, announcer and sports radio broadcaster, Dan is no longer Chicago's best kept secret. For Dan McGuinness, singing rock & roll, songwriting and performance is something very close to his heart. His interpretation and delivery of the songs are right on the mark and he consistently wows audiences with his live performances. Whatever the song, old or new, Dan McGuinness’ voice takes you by the hand and leads you to the core of the musical journey. Raised in Palos Park, Illinois. A quiet, naturesque, south suburb of Chicago. Multi-sport athlete turned musician, radio broadcaster and actor. Dan started playing guitar and writing songs shortly after high school in 1996/97 after being inspired by the Rock & Roll / Country sounds of the bayou created by Creedence Clearwater Revival/John Fogerty in the late 60's. Dan approaches his music with the intent of renewing the interest in good, clean, positive, American music.
Further inspirations, you will notice in his songwriting, are combinations
of the stylings of John Denver and Neil Diamond. Dan later moved to Sedona, Arizona at the turn of the millennium, (where
he began working as a DJ for local KAZM radio, another passion of his).
A new beginning! "I wanted to play for different people every night",
he says. "Sedona is tourist town getting close to five million
visitors a year. What a great way to be seen and fine tune the show". His beautiful, powerful voice along with his lovable, energetic, passion
for performing stage presence makes him a crowd favorite anywhere he
takes the stage. Dan received two standing ovations and an encore while
opening up for 'Texas-Gypsy Song Man', Jerry Jeff Walker at the Sedona
Cultural Park in August of 2003. "I'm literally addicted to live performing", says Dan ... and it shows! "Captivating
and funny performance", - (fan quoted April 26th, Phoenix AZ)
